Gainesville, Fla., – The Institute for Public Relations (IPR) is thrilled to announce the recent election of four new Trustees to its Board. With the addition of these Trustees, the IPR Board of Trustees remains committed to the top research priorities of measurement standards, behavioral science, employee communications, and digital media.

Sarah Crawshaw
Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Taylor Bennett Heyman
Based in Hong Kong, Sarah leads Taylor Bennett Heyman’s operation throughout Asia Pacific. She consults with businesses across all industry sectors and works closely with professionals in the communications and corporate affairs industry, helping them to navigate and build their careers. Sarah has considerable experience in communications search and has provided executive search and talent management solutions to many leading listed companies in markets across the Asia Pacific region. She also consults with businesses on matters pertaining to organisational design and competency framework development. Prior to her career in Asia, Sarah worked in executive search in London again specialising in communications, with a focus on UK public affairs and investor relations assignments. She holds a Master’s in Economics and Politics from the University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor of Laws from the BPP Law School, London.

Ray Day
Chief Communications Officer, IBM
Ray Day is joining IBM as the company’s chief communications officer, beginning mid-December 2017. Reporting to IBM CEO Ginni Rometty, Day will lead the company’s global Communications team and Corporate Citizenship. Before joining IBM, Day retired as group vice president of Communications after 28 years with Ford. He spent most of his career leading Ford’s global communications and public relations activities related to the company’s products, design, manufacturing, sales, marketing, brand development and corporate matters.

Mike Fernandez
CEO, US, Burson Marsteller
Mike Fernandez is CEO, U.S. based in New York. Prior to joining Burson-Marsteller, Mike served as chief communications officer for five large U.S.-based corporations across diverse industries, including financial, technology, consumer goods and services, and health care. Most recently, he led global corporate affairs at Cargill, the world’s largest privately held company and one of the world’s leading producers and marketers of food, agricultural, financial and industrial products and services. During his six-year tenure, he was responsible for communications, brand and marketing services, government relations, and corporate social responsibility.

Yanique Woodall
Senior Director, Brand Communications, The Home Depot
Yanique Woodall leads the product innovation and social impact communications, which plays a key role in The Home Depot’s messaging strategy to support the organization’s product innovation and technology goals. Leading an internal team of professionals, as well as agency partners, she contributes to The Home Depot’s growth and innovation efforts by leading the storytelling and digital media strategies. In addition, Yanique is responsible for the proactive earned media strategy for The Home Depot Foundation, defining the company’s thought-leadership program regarding sustainability and leading all aspects of The Home Depot’s branded merchandise, including direct management of an e-commerce website and headquarters retail location.
