On November 17th, Frank Ovaitt was honored for his nine years of service as IPR’s President & CEO at IPR’s Distinguished Lecture and Awards Dinner in New York City. Frank received IPR’s Distinguished Service award for his commitment to IPR and research that matters to the practice.

Frank served the Institute twice as President and CEO for nine years and officially retired in May 2015. Prior to his term at IPR, he was vice president of corporate affairs for MCI, international PR vice president for AT&T, and an Executive Vice President with Makovsky. He has received numerous awards, including PRSA’s David Ferguson Award for contributions to public relations education by a practitioner, and the AEJMC Gerald Sass Distinguished Service Award. In September, he received the Arthur W. Page Society Distinguished Service Award.
