PRWeek announced the induction of five new members into their Hall of Fame on Tuesday. IPR Trustee Margery Kraus and Honorary IPR Trustee Bill Nielsen were selected to receive this prestigious honor. Margery Kraus is founder and CEO of APCO Worldwide, a global consulting firm that specializes in public affairs, communications and business consulting for major multinationals. Willard “Bill” Nielsen retired after 17 years as the corporate vice president of public affairs at Johnson & Johnson and 18 years as a public relations agency consultant with Carl Byoir & Associates and Hill & Knowlton. Nielsen supervised programs which went on to win four PRSA Silver Anvil awards.

PRWeek created the Hall of Fame last year to recognize those who have made outstanding contributions to communications. The individuals honored are chosen based on their achievement in the development of the industry and the establishment of the PR profession. This year’s Hall of Fame will be honored in New York City on December 8, 2014.
