PRIME ResearchGAINESVILLE, Fla. – PRIME Research and the Institute for Public Relations (IPR) have agreed to make PRIME media data bases available to academics conducting research to be published by IPR.  Donald K. Wright, Ph.D., Harold Burson professor and chair in public relations at Boston University’s College of Communication, will oversee the program.

PRIME Research has data representing millions of social media conversations using advanced technology developed by the company’s developers, linguists and content providers.  PRIME also owns data representing traditional media coverage that includes company and reputation attributes, with particular depth in the automotive, financial services, technology and manufacturing industries.

Under the agreement announced today, PRIME will share the data through the Institute for Public Relations (IPR) for academics conducting research relevant to communications professionals.  A non-academic or professional researcher who is working jointly with an academic on a qualifying project may also gain access to the resources.  Initially availability of these research resources will be by invitation only.
