Antonio B. (Tony) Cervone is Executive Vice President, Group Communications for Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. Cervone is responsible for all aspects of corporate communications. This includes corporate media relations, all public relations campaigns, community partnerships and philanthropy. Cervone joined the company in March 2011. Cervone was most recently senior vice president-corporate communications and chief communications officer for United. At United, Cervone oversaw internal and external communications, media and public relations, crisis communications and partnership communications with the Star Alliance and Continental.

Prior to joining United, Cervone served as communications vice president of global strategy and operations for General Motors. In that role, he led communications teams for GM’s four global regions and oversaw product and brand communications, financial communications, executive communications and a number of other internal and external communications teams. Cervone has served in increasingly responsible communications positions, including vice president of communications for the Chrysler Group and vice president of General Motors Europe Communications.

Cervone holds a Bachelor of Science degree in fine and applied arts from Central Michigan University. He also is a member of Arthur Page Society and serves on the board of directors of the Institute for Public Relations.
