As President & CEO of Heyman Associates in the U.S., as well as Founder and Director of Taylor Bennett Heyman in Asia, Bill has filled top communications roles for some of the most recognized brands in the world, including leading corporations, foundations, academic institutions and professional associations. With his diverse network and passion for executive search, he sets the example for HA and TBH to continue to build strong teams throughout the globe, as he listens to the client’s needs to find the candidate with the perfect chemistry fit.

Seen as an expert on the intangibles, Bill is quoted in “The Likeability Factor” by best-selling author Tim Sanders. He is also the only recruiter to be named a PR Power List Supporting Power Player three times by PRWeek, which said, “In an industry where talent is everything, Heyman helps connect some of the most senior pros to jobs, making him an indispensable asset to all those involved in executive searches.”

Based on his professional contributions, Bill was asked to serve on the committee of The Seminar, the most prestigious organization within communications. He is a member of the select Arthur W.
Page Society for senior public relations and corporate communications executives and serves as a trustee of the Institute for Public Relations. He also recently joined the board of the Public Relations Society of America Foundation, which supports programs that attract ethnic and racial minorities to careers in PR.

As a founding board member of The Plank Center for Leadership in Public Relations at the University of Alabama, Bill co-chairs the Milestones in Mentoring Dinner. With the help of the university, he initiated three groundbreaking public relations studies, the most recent of which is the largest and most global analysis of public relations leadership, co-sponsored by Heyman Associates, the Plank Center and IBM. He also coordinated with the Plank Center on an earlier work on PR leadership as well as one on success factors, which was published in the International Journal of Strategic Communications, and awarded the International Communications Association “Robert L. Health Top Paper Award.”

Long committed to the future of communications, Bill has served as an Executive Advisor of the Department of Communication Advisory Council of the College of Charleston since 2007. The school’s communications department offers one of the fastest growing communications programs in the country. He also served on the board of The LAGRANT Foundation, an awarder of scholarships to minority PR students.

A Gettysburg College graduate, Bill was selected to serve as a mentor to the Young Alumni Leadership Program and also serves on the school’s Communications and Marketing Advisory Council. In his previous leadership roles at his alma mater, he was Marketing Committee Chairman, National Campaign Steering Committee member, Board of Fellows member and June 2005 Gettysburg Meritorious Service award recipient. He earned an MBA from Adelphi University.

Bill gets his energy to meet new people by starting his day as early as 5:00 am at the gym, but admits to rarely lasting past the seventh inning of a late night game of his beloved Yankees.
