Gainesville, Fla., May 7, 2018 – The Institute for Public Relations (IPR) is thrilled to announce the recent election of six new Trustees to its Board. With the addition of these Trustees, the IPR Board of Trustees remains committed to the top research priorities of measurement standards, behavioral science, employee communications and digital media.

Kim Adler
Vice President, Head of Global Communications, Alcon
Kim Adler is Vice President and Head of Global Communications for Alcon. Prior to her current role, Ms. Adler was Vice President of Communications and Government Affairs for Novelis Inc., where she had global oversight for the $10 billion company’s award-winning communications and public affairs function. Ms. Adler has also held senior communications roles with Freudenberg-NOK and Freudenberg North America, ArvinMeritor and its subsequent spin-off company ArvinInnovation. From 1990 to 2007, her firm, Adler Communications, provided strategic communications support for a variety of clients, including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Ford Motor Company.

Lauren K. Day
Chief Communications Officer, Prudential Financial, Inc.
As chief communications officer of Prudential Financial, Inc., Lauren Day leads an integrated, strategy-led organization designed to generate competitive advantage for Prudential and its diversified business world. Before her current role, Day was a managing director and head of corporate communications at the primary U.S. subsidiary of AXA S.A., where she was a member of the executive management group and served on the Board of Directors of the AXA Foundation. Day also served as director of strategic communications for American International Group (AIG) and was a senior associate in the capital markets group of AIG Investments. In 2016, Day was named to PRWeek’s “Top 40 under 40” and, in 2017, was named one of PR News’ “Top Women in PR.”

Chris Talley
Vice President, Chief Communications Officer, USAA
Chris Talley is responsible for leading USAA’s communication strategy, reputation management, and internal and external communications for the Chief Executive Officer. Previously, Chris led the re-launch of USAA’s brand and the creation and implementation of all-audience, multi-channel content programs. He also managed USAA’s External Communications team. Chris began at USAA in 2008 from FleishmanHillard International Communications (FH). During his 13 years at FH, he planned, managed and executed numerous corporate issues and communications programs for a wide range of FORTUNE 500 clients. He also served as general manager of FH offices in Austin, Houston and San Antonio.

Chris Foster
President, North America, Burson Cohn & Wolfe
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, Chris Foster works closely with the Chairman and CEO and regional leaders on emerging strategic growth initiatives, executive level client counsel and business development. His expertise includes public health, life sciences, financial services, energy and travel/tourism. He specializes in working with the federal government and private companies on understanding reputation risk and leveraging communications analysis to drive enterprise wide strategy. Foster has led national and global public awareness and communications campaigns for organizations such as the U.S. Department of Defense, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Social Security Administration, and Pfizer. He is also the author of the “Reputation Analytics & Corporate Strategy” chapter published within the NYSE Corporate Governance Guide in November 2014.

Teri Loxam
Senior Vice President of Investor Relations and Global Communications, Merck
As Senior Vice President of Investor Relations and Global Communications at Merck, Teri leads internal and external communications efforts globally, as well as its professional investment community interactions. Teri joined Merck in August 2015 to head up Investor Relations, where she has been responsible for representing the Company to the global investment community. In January 2018, Teri added responsibility for Global Communications, including corporate and financial media relations, product communications, public affairs and employee communications. Prior to Merck, Teri was vice president, Investor Relations for IMAX Corporation, and spent 11 years with Bristol-Myers Squibb. In addition to spending 3 years at BMS in investor relations, Teri spent 6 years in the Strategic Planning group holding several positions, with responsibilities including: global strategic planning, adhoc strategy, M&A analysis and R&D portfolio management.

Caroline Gibson
Partner, Prosek Partners
Caroline Gibson is an experienced financial, consumer and professional services PR practitioner with more than 15 years of experience working for some of the world’s largest financial organizations. Prior to joining Prosek, she worked for The Royal Bank of Scotland Group in London as a media relations manager, where she was responsible for promoting the NatWest brand, one of the UK’s largest banks, and regularly acted as a company spokesperson in the media on major issues. She has also held PR and brand management positions with HSBC and Red Bull. Since joining Prosek, she has led both financial services and professional services accounts and specializes in building the profile of firms that have a transatlantic or global presence such as Franklin Templeton, First Reserve Corporation and Hiscox.
