Davis+Gilbert analyzed corporate trends in artificial intelligence (AI) and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practices.
A survey of 182 respondents was conducted as well a collection of data on mergers and acquisitions based on publicly available deal activity.
Key findings include:
1.) 45% of organizations used AI to create written content, followed by using AI for ideation (37%), to conduct social listening (34%), to conduct market research (33%), and to take notes/summarize meetings (28%).
2.) 75% of organizations that increased both revenues and profits by 10% in 2023 are currently using AI.
3.) 47% of the organizations that used common generative AI applications in their workflow expected an increase in revenue in 2023, and 24% projected an increase in profits.
4.) Nearly 75% of organizations reported they do not have a legal clearance process in place before distributing AI-generated material.
5.) 42% of organizations increased their number of employees from historically underrepresented groups.
— In 2022, this was a 60% increase.
— 20% of organizations reported no increase in DEI activities this year.
