NEW YORK, NY — Sarah Amos, Vice President of Development & Production (Non-fiction TV, Documentaries) at Condé Nast, is the 2024 IPR Distinguished Lecturer. She will speak at the 62nd Annual IPR Distinguished Lecture and Awards Gala on December 4 at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers in New York City. Amos currently oversees an unscripted slate that includes FX’s Secrets of Hillsong, the Disney+ series In Vogue: The 90s, HBO’s Breath of Fire, Nat Geo’s Killer Lies, and the award-winning Onyx series Black Twitter: A People’s History.

Previously, she was the Vice President of Development and Production for Marvel Entertainment’s New Media division, overseeing a variety of content for Marvel.com, SiriusXM, and Disney+. Prior to Marvel, Amos was the Executive Producer of Live Products for ABC News Digital.

“The 2024 IPR Distinguished Lecture & Awards Gala is set to be a fantastic event as we celebrate the lifetime achievements of leaders shaping the future of our profession,” said Jill Carapellotti, IPR Trustee and Chair of the Distinguished Lecture & Awards Gala Committee. “We are particularly excited to welcome Sarah Amos as our Distinguished Lecturer, whose insights on the convergence of art, culture, and storytelling within the field of communications promise to bring valuable and thought-provoking perspectives to the evening.”

More than 300 professionals typically attend the IPR Annual Distinguished Lecture & Awards Gala to support the mission of IPR, a nonprofit organization focused on research that matters to the public relations and communication profession. This event is the largest annual fundraiser for IPR, supported by many IPR Trustees and ELEVATE members, who are senior executives from global corporate, agency, nonprofit, and academic organizations. Along with the Lecture, the event honors leaders in the profession with lifetime achievement awards and students with research awards.

Dating back to 1961, the Distinguished Lecturer is an honor bestowed to a respected and accomplished leader who offers their wisdom on the most important issues of our time. In 2023, Semafor CEO Justin Smith served as the Distinguished Lecturer. Other Distinguished Lecturers include Alan Murray, Geoff Colvin, Dana Perino, Mark Leibowitz, Cheryl Boone Isaacs, Ravi Agrawal, and Lee Rainie.

Tickets to the event are $600 each and tables of 10 can be purchased for $6,000, and a limited number of premium tables (with additional sponsor benefits) of 10 are available for $10,000. The price includes a networking cocktail reception, the awards gala, and the Distinguished Lecture. All tickets may be purchased on the IPR website or by contacting Rachel Beene at rachel@instituteforpr.org
