Brad Burns is the Executive Vice President and Chief Communications Officer of Salesforce. He has two decades of experience providing communications counsel to executive teams in highly-competitive industries, especially around financial and M&A communications, high-visibility product launches, communicating globally, and intensive issues management. Burns formerly served as Senior Vice President of Global Corporate Communications for AT&T Communications. While there, he led global communications, including public relations, internal communications, reputation management, social media, executive communications, and issues management.
Before AT&T, Burns was Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications for Revolution LLC, a venture capital firm created by AOL co-founder Steve Case. He also led global corporate communications for MCI (now Verizon). He began his career at Ogilvy Public Relations in Washington, D.C.
Burns holds a B.A. from Southern Methodist University. He’s an executive board member of SMU’s Meadows School of the Arts and is a former adjunct professor of Georgetown University’s Corporate Communications program.
