Kristine Olson is Assistant Vice President, Strategic Communications. She and her team are responsible for creating USAA’s enterprise communication strategy; supporting major communication initiatives for the Board of Directors; and communicating USAA’s strategic and operational plans. Prior to this role, Kristine led USAA’s Client Management team, a group of senior communicators who provide strategic communications planning and counsel to USAA’s executives, business and staff functions. In addition to her role leading Strategic Communications, Kristine also has been serving as the interim head of USAA’s communications function since September 2015.

Before joining USAA in December 2008, Kristine worked for JPMorgan Retirement Plan Services, Kansas City, MO, as Vice President, Participant Communications. She worked closely with JPMorgan’s mega client base to provide communication strategy for 401k plans and targeted retirement initiatives. She also spent two years as a sales person, covering 401k consultants across the West coast sourcing opportunities to grow the business. Prior to JPMorgan, Kristine worked for a mid-size life insurance company as Director, Publications and Public Information. Her role included customer and employee facing publications for the company, its subsidiaries and the broker/dealer, the company’s annual report and investor relations.

Kristine has a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Washburn University, Topeka, Kansas. She is a member of the Arthur W. Page Society Page Up group and also is participating in the 2015-2016 Page Future Leaders Experience.
