Mark Walters is the SVP, Head of Communications at Capital Group. Prior to re-joining KPMG as Head of Communications, Walters led external communications at AIA Group, a Fortune Global 500 company and served as Global Director of Communications at Dentons, the world’s largest law firm.
Previously based in Hong Kong, Walters relocated to New York in Summer 2014 to work with KPMG’s new Global Chairman & CEO John Veihmeyer. Before joining KPMG, I was Senior Vice President and Director of Corporate Communications, in the Strategic Communications practice of FTI Consulting (formerly Financial Dynamics). Walters moved to Hong Kong with FTI to lead the development of the Corporate Communications Practice in Asia. I also worked in FTI’s London and Washington D.C. Practices.
Walters has more than 15 years of experience in senior communications roles, primarily in consultancy, helping clients to develop and implement strategic communications programmes designed to enhance and protect their reputations, while promoting their business and engaging stakeholders. Throughout his career, he devised and led communications campaigns for some of the world’s largest companies, and provided communications advice across the c-suite.
