Natalie Tindall, Ph.D., APR, is Director of the School of Advertising & Public Relations, Moody College of Communication at the University of Texas at Austin.

She previously taught public relations/strategic communication classes at Lamar University, where she served as the chair of the Department of Communication and Media and the advisor for the student-run public relations agency, Bridge Public Relations. Through her teaching and service work, she guided students through campaign planning, research, messaging, and strategy. Dr. Tindall is an active member of the Public Relations Society of America, the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication, and several community organizations. She received her doctorate from the University of Maryland-College Park.

Dr. Tindall’s research focuses on diversity in organizations, specifically diversity with the public relations function, the situational theory of publics, and how the dimensions of intersectionality influence publics’ perceptions. She has multiple peer-reviewed journal articles that have been published in the Journal of Public Relations ResearchPublic Relations ReviewPublic Relations JournalHoward Journal of Communications, PRism, and the International Journal of Strategic Communication.
