The Institute for Public Relations announced today that Vanessa Procter, a Master’s degree student in public relations at Bournemouth University in the United Kingdom, is this year’s winner of the Grunig PRIME Research Fellowship – UK. The fellowship, named for James E. Grunig, Ph.D., and Larissa A. Grunig, Ph.D., is presented by the Institute and sponsored by PRIME Research.

Procter will complete her six-week fellowship in the PRIME Research offices in Oxford, UK and will receive a £4,000 stipend. Her research examines the tactics used by public relations practitioners when conducting campaigns for environmentally sustainable products, services and companies. Procter will focus on green PR agencies and the strategies they use to gain and maintain public trust in their PR campaigns. The paper will be published by the Institute upon completion of the Fellowship.
