IPR Welcomes Five New Trustees: Suzanne Bouhia of EY, Bill Imada of IW Group, Jeanne LaCour of Johnson & Johnson, Catherine McManus of McGraw Hill, and Arun Sudhaman of PRovoke Media

Gainesville, Fla. – The Institute for Public Relations is thrilled to announce the addition of five new Trustees to its Board:

  • Suzanne Bouhia, Americas Chief Communication Officer, EY

  • Jeanne LaCour, Vice President and Global Leader, Supply Chain and Enterprise Function Communication, Johnson & Johnson

Suzanne Bouhia
Americas Chief Communication Officer

Suzanne Bouhia is EY’s Americas Chief Communications Officer and is responsible for the development and execution of a world-class, high-impact communication strategy that grows and protects EY’s brand. She is a standing guest member of EY Americas Operating Executive and US Executive Committee. She reports to EY’s US Chair and Managing Partner and Americas Managing Partner, who leads more than 81,000 people in 31 countries, with annual revenue of $21.2 billion. Suzanne leads EY’s Americas Communications team, across the US, LATAM, Canada, and Israel. Her team’s breadth of external communications work includes media relations, digital and social media, crisis and reputation management, and brand communications efforts. Suzanne also oversees employee engagement and communications for EY’s workforce across the Americas, as well as the firm’s corporate reputation in the market, with clients, and with recruits. Her team partners with award-winning agencies to inform, inspire, educate, and drive change across the organization and beyond.

During her 25 years of leadership experience in marketing and communications, Suzanne has also served as EY’s Brand, Marketing, and Communications (BMC) leader for several US regions, the US BMC Leader and Americas Internal Communications and People Engagement Leader. She previously served as the National Director of Marketing and Communications for the Reznick Group.

Outside of the office, Suzanne enjoys spending time at the beach in Delaware and watching her kids’ play sports. Suzanne and her husband have three daughters.

Bill Imada
IW Group, Inc.
Chairman and Chief Connectivity Officer

Bill, co-founder and chairman of IW Group, has worked alongside some of the top companies in the U.S., including Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, Southern California Edison, Walmart Stores, Walt Disney Imagineering, Warner Bros., Wells Fargo and many others. As a specialist in multicultural and generational marketing, Bill is one of the leading experts in reaching diverse consumer and B2B markets. He’s active in civic and community affairs and serves on more than seven boards and advisory councils. Bill remains committed to all that he pursues and believes that the best work comes from people who care about what they are doing. A coffee fanatic, he spends his spare time searching for coffee roasters wherever he travels.

Jeanne LaCour
Johnson & Johnson
Vice President and Global Leader, Supply Chain and Enterprise Function Communication

Jeanne LaCour is Vice President and Global Leader for Supply Chain and Enterprise Function Communication at Johnson & Johnson, the world’s largest and most diverse healthcare company. In this role, she is responsible for defining, advancing and implementing global communication strategy for supply chain across Johnson & Johnson’s three business sectors – Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices and Consumer Health, the global Deliver organization as well as Quality & Compliance, Environmental Sustainability and Technical Operations & Supply Chain Strategy. Jeanne is a member of the Johnson & Johnson Supply Chain Leadership Team.

Jeanne has more than 20 years of strategic communication experience having led communications strategies in dozens of high-profile, complex situations across a range of industries including healthcare, financial services, industrial products and transportation. She is recognized for her ability to create and execute engaging communications programs to inform and influence stakeholders, develop and lead effective teams, and build brands while advancing business goals.

Previously, Jeanne was Vice President of External Communication at Voya Financial, a U.S. based retirement, investment and insurance company. In this role she developed and implemented corporate thought leadership programs to amplify company voice and perspectives; led the enhancement of Voya’s social media capabilities; oversaw external and internal communications for legal, compliance, risk and corporate responsibility; and represented Voya on the 30% Club Steering Committee. In prior roles, Jeanne served as Managing Director at Teneo, Principal at Robinson, Lerer & Montgomery (now called Finsbury Glover Hering) and began her career as a producer and financial news journalist at CNBC.

Jeanne is a graduate of Dartmouth College, with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, and Columbia Business School where she earned an MBA and was awarded the prestigious Bristol-Myers Squibb Fellowship.

A native of Houston, Texas, Jeanne lives in New Jersey with her husband and two children.

Catherine McManus
McGraw Hill
VP, Marketing and Communications

Catherine McManus is VP, Marketing and Communications of McGraw Hill, the leading education partner for millions of educators, learners and professionals around the world. In her role as head of the McGraw Hill Corporate Communications team, she oversees all external and internal communications efforts for the company, including corporate social responsibility, media relations, brand marketing, employee communications, corporate social media and content marketing. Catherine joined McGraw Hill in November 2018 as VP, Brand Marketing.

Prior to joining McGraw Hill, Catherine was head of content marketing at Aetna, where she developed Aetna’s first enterprise-wide brand content strategy, aligning multiple lines of business to architect a multimedia content marketing program to drive brand favorability. She also spent four years at Citi, where she led the content marketing strategy for Citi’s Global Consumer Bank division, leading a team of content strategists and agency partners in multiple regions to develop a unified vision for the development and amplification of Citi’s branded content worldwide. She began her tenure at Citi in 2012 as part of the North America marketing team, overseeing content development and amplification for Women & Co., Citi’s online personal finance resource for women, and Citi’s award-winning Connect: Professional Women’s Network, the largest, fastest-growing and most engaged community of women on LinkedIn.

Prior to joining Citi in 2012, Catherine held various communications roles at The Parenting Group, publisher of Parenting magazine and Parenting.com, where she oversaw the group’s national PR and brand communication strategy. During her nine years at Parenting, she spearheaded the launch of several editorial partnerships with major news outlets like NBC News and Good Morning America, and a wide variety of cause-related marketing campaigns with partners ranging from the National PTA to the NBA. In 2010, she launched the Mom Congress on Education and Learning, a campaign to connect and celebrate parent education advocates that was recognized by The White House as a 2012 “Champion of Change.” While serving as spokesperson for Parenting, she appeared on NBC’s TODAY and was a frequent speaker at industry and media events.

Catherine began her career at Southard Communications, a PR firm in New York City specializing in consumer product publicity. She is a native New Yorker, a graduate of Fordham University, and currently lives in Manhattan with her husband and their two children.

Arun Sudhaman
PRovoke Media
CEO and Editor-in-Chief

Arun Sudhaman is CEO and editor-in-chief at PRovoke Media. In this role Arun oversees PRovoke Media’s global content offering, including its analysis and insight into reputation, public relations and communications trends and issues. Since joining PRovoke Media in 2010, Arun has comprehensively redefined the title’s content platform, which includes its digital presence and new products such as the Influence 100 compendium of key global influencers, the Global PR Agency Rankings, the Global Creative Index, and the PRovoke Media podcast. He also led the rebrand of the Holmes Report to PRovoke Media in 2020.

Arun has also played a pivotal role expanding PRovoke Media’s coverage into Asia-Pacific and other emerging markets, and has helped steer the company’s international events program, particularly the Global Public Relations Summit — which has featured such luminaries as Sir Martin Sorrell, P&G’s Marc Pritchard, Chuck Porter and IBM’s Jon Iwata.

He brings to the position more than a decade’s experience as a journalist and digital content specialist, most of which has been spent analyzing the media, marketing and communications industries. His career has encompassed coverage and analysis of reputation and leadership issues in numerous countries across the world, including the US and UK, Russia, China, India and South Africa.

Prior to joining the Holmes Report, Arun spent more than seven years with Haymarket Media in Hong Kong, Singapore and London. He joined Haymarket title PRWeek UK in January 2009, after covering Asia’s media and marketing landscape at sister Haymarket title Campaign Asia-Pacific in Hong Kong and Singapore.

Before Haymarket, Arun spent one year at public relations firm Weber Shandwick during its tumultuous mergers with Weber and BSMG. During his career as a journalist, he has appeared on BBC News and has also contributed to The Guardian and the South China Morning Post, where he began his career as a business reporter.

In 2015, Arun became the youngest-ever inductee into the ICCO Hall of Fame.
