Ernst Primosch is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chairman of Hill & Knowlton in Germany with the responsibility for the DACH region. He changed from an international leading management position in the industry to one of the world‘s largest agencies. His key aspects of activity lie in positioning both people, companies and brands on a national and global level, counselling and positioning executives and supervisory boards, Corporate Communications and Marketing Communications as well as Change-, Risk- and Crisis-Management. Ernst Primosch has a longstanding and extensive track record of acquisitions and reorganising companies. In any case where strategic and effective communication is needed, he is the right point of contact.
Ernst Primosch studied business administration at the Vienna university of economics. He also has a degree as an engineer and longstanding experience as journalist. Before joining Hill & Knowlton, Ernst Primosch worked many years for Henkel, a Fortune 500 company. As Global Corporate Vice President he headed corporate communication, corporate brand management and CSR. The major achievements he was credited with were the repositioning of Henkel, the development of a much-noticed corporate branding strategy (“A Brand like a Friend”) and a leading worldwide corporate communications structure encompassing 125 countries.
He worked in four continents for such companies as Henkel, Siemens, Schwarzkopf and Porter Novelli, and provided counselling for numerous chairmen, (chief) executives and supervisory boards of listed and Fortune 500 companies. Since many years, he is ranked among those international experts that set standards of professionalism and quality in the field of communication and branding.
In the last ten years, Ernst Primosch and the teams led by him won almost 100 national and international awards, amongst other things for Brand Management, communication and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Primosch was chairman of various associations and chairman of the communication committee of the German Chemical Industry Association. Ernst Primosch is a member of the Arthur W. Page Society, NY and since 2007 trustee of the board of the Institute of Public Relations (IPR). Additionally, he teaches at several European universities and colleges.
He recently published the book “Psychology of Brands”.
