AXIOS examined the challenges workplaces have regarding internal communication.

Two online surveys of 1,035 employees and 414 leaders were conducted in November 2023.

Key findings include:

–Top communication challenges for leaders and employees include:
    –Evolving their communication strategy for growing teams and hybrid work (59%).
    –Understanding what is important to staff (47%).
    –Allocating time to create important communications (42%).
    –Writing in a concise, engaging way (35%).
    –Breaking through information overload (27% ).
–81% of leaders said “internal communications are timely and on a cadence that teams can rely on,” while only 42% of employees agree.
–81% of leaders “think teams have an easy and accessible way to share feedback about internal communications,” while only 44% of employees agree.
