Mission of the IPR CDEI:

The mission of the IPR Center for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (CDEI) is to support, conduct, and promote research and insights relating to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace focused on six core areas: BIPOC, LGBTQ+, women, intersectionality, disabilities, and mental health. Along with the recommendations for improving the industry, the IPR CDEI will also support the change-focused efforts of industry programs focused on change, including the Diversity Action Alliance and The Dialogue Project.

Scope of the IPR CDEI:

The purpose of the IPR CDEI is to serve as a clearinghouse and library for current research focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) as well as to conduct primary research and signature studies.

The IPR CDEI features research studies, papers, briefs, case studies, webinars, and programs relating to diversity, equity, and inclusion in public relations and adjacent fields. To be included in the IPR CDEI, studies must include research coupled with an appropriate methodology. Most studies and summaries highlight research and findings from peer-reviewed studies from authorities in their fields.

Some of the non-peer-reviewed research reports are research published by industry leaders, institutes, and companies. While not peer-reviewed, they offer an important analysis that has an impact on the field.

The IPR CDEI also hosts best practices and other resources to help public relations professionals. Each report and resource on the website has been vetted for inclusion in the IPR CDEI.
